Break The Cycle

Life can be tough and overwhelming when you are struggling with challenges like a lack of skills, job loss, financial crisis, personal trauma, loneliness, cultural issues or ADHD. Coping with these issues alone can make it hard to move forward and find your place in society.

  • We offer helpful information, support and advice on moving into employment or training and education courses.

  • We offer tailored support on an individual basis, as well as group based courses, to support you with your journey.

  • We understand that getting into employment is difficult, let us give you a guiding hand to create the future you deserve.

The Clare Community Shed and Skills Workshop

Our new workshop officially opened on 13th February 2025 – a partnership between Oasis, two funders and the Aylesbury Shed Community.

Huge thanks to…
The Clare Foundation, they sourced the workshop for us from a generous donor, and they provided the funds to get  the shed operational. In recognition for Mike Clare’s support we have named our shed the Clare Community Shed.

Aylesbury Community Board as they have provided the funding for a part-time project manager for 6 months to help get the project established.

We are pleased to be collaborating with the existing Aylesbury Shed Community – running Shed sessions on Mondays and Thursdays.

Break the cycle – Building Futures, and supporting those who are economically inactive, or just stuck on benefits and not sure what to do next.

Life can be tough and overwhelming when you are struggling with challenges like a lack of skills, job loss, financial crisis, personal trauma, loneliness, cultural issues or ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions.  Coping with these issues alone can make it hard to move forward and find your place in society.

The Building Futures Project focusses on the #OpportunityBucks areas across the County. Building Futures is funded  by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund – Funded by UK Government.

There are two parts to the offer:

  1. One to one support from a specialist team of project workers, to help you if you are unemployed but not claiming unemployment benefits, to help you move towards training and employment.
  2. A series of group work programmes designed to build skills, confidence and introduce opportunities in a supportive and fun environment.
