We are delighted to have received a grant of over £6000 from LHC Community Benefit Fund. This will be utilised on our refurbishment project in Chesham – The Printworks – right next door to our newest service The Bagnall Project. We are now able to start sorting out the electrics and installing a toilet.
These grants are provided by LHC, in association with Locality for projects that:
· support strong and sustainable neighbourhoods,
· contribute to one or more of the Borough or County Priorities for their communities
· are innovative or clearly demonstrate positive social impact.
The Printworks will, if everything goes to plan, offer a new Art Box studio, a lovely gallery, exhibition and meeting space, Amersham and Chesham Community Shed and a community based training kitchen and cafe. All of which meet the key requirements of the fund. We are super excited at the potential opportunity to turn a semi derelict building into what could become a fantastic community resource, able to meet local needs for projects aimed at improving people’s health and wellbeing.
