At Oasis we passionately believe that everyone should have the opportunity to discover or re-discover their potential regardless of background or circumstances. The Oasis Media Launchpad is designed to inspire people to raise aspirations and to develop and promote new talent and skills, focusing on music writing and production, digital, technology, podcasting and film. The Media Launchpad is a new start-up project, currently based at the Bagnall Project. We have aspirations to grow and develop this project so that we can prepare people for employment in the Media or Tech sector.
We currently offer a range of different interventions which includes, music writing, singing, recording and publishing music, we offer free guitar lessons to get you started, we have a green screen room for recording and editing and we also offer podcast training or you may want to be interviewed as part of our Lets be Frank podcasts.
We continue to seek funding and volunteers to support this developing project. At the moment our core funding is linked to our Friends2Gether National Lottery Community Fund project where we plan to engage younger and older people in the activities that we offer, we also have funding from the Building Futures project where we are supporting people to develop their own podcasts and also learn about using the internet for job hunting and promoting themselves on line.
We would very much like to hear from anyone that may be able to offer help and support to add to the Media Launchpad Project. We have the opportunity to develop a wide range of projects – if we can gain support from business and interested individuals.
The Frank Hodge Podcast Studio.

We are extremely proud to offer the Frank Hodge Podcast Studio at the Bagnall in Chesham, named in memory of Frank Hodge. Frank was one of our long standing Trustees, representing the service user voice at Board level, he ran his own weekly alcohol support group in Wycombe, got very involved in our volunteer project, helping with recruitment and mentoring new volunteers. He was also a lovely and funny man, with a long and exciting career as BBC cameraman. Frank planted the idea of the Media Launchpad with us and although he sadly passed before he saw it take shape – i am sure he will be pleased with the result.
We have called one of our podcasts the “Lets Be Frank” podcast – where we aim to publish a range of different conversations and discussions. You can find our podcast on Spotify and other podcast channels. Here is our most recent podcast with our Jon Martin interviewing.
Music – writing, recording, production.
Jon our Media Launchpad lead supports people to be creative in our music studio. Here is a link to one of the people we are supporting – she has a beautiful voice and has written some great tracks and uploaded some great covers.
